Attran Hotel

Named after one of the tributaries that flow into the larger Thanlwin river, the Attran Hotel was opened in 2003. It has bungalow style accommodation in downtown Mawlamyine at the intersection of Lower Main Rd and Dai Wun Kwin Rd (fomerly North Bogyoke Rd). Although located in a busy part of Mawlamyine, street noise is minimal as most rooms are located well away from the roadside. The hotel has 30 rooms of which 10 of are situated riverside from where picturesque sunsets can be viewed.
The rooms are spacious and are all equipped with satellite TV, hot showers, air conditioning, bar fridge, IDD phones and a wardrobe. Strand Hotel

Construction of the hotel building itself began in 2004 on the new northern extension of Strand Rd (Kanna Lan) and was finally completed in late 2011. The hotel is the most luxurious hotel in Mawlamyine with room rates being reasonably priced.
The hotel is situated on the banks of the Thanlwin River with beautiful views of the sunset from its western entrance. The east end of The Strand is located on the busy Lower Main Rd about 200 meters from the Zeigyi, the central market of Mawlamyine.
